Choose a ceramic shampoo for matte paint or matte PPF by explicit compatibility and dry appearance, including any gloss-enhancing or protective residue.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Matte paint and matte PPF are selected for their appearance, so a wash product must preserve that finish. A ceramic shampoo that leaves protection or gloss-enhancing residue needs explicit suitability for the exact surface. Do not treat strong water beading as the only approval criterion.
Check the paint or film manufacturer’s guidance and the shampoo’s compatibility statement. If a coating has also been applied, include its maintenance requirements. The acceptable process must work for the whole surface system.
Look for information on gloss enhancers, protective residue and application method. The words pH neutral or ceramic do not by themselves establish matte-finish compatibility.
Use an approved inconspicuous area or matching sample. Follow the stated dilution and rinse instructions. Compare the surface only after it has dried, under diffuse daylight and a shallow viewing angle that reveals uneven sheen.
Check whether the treated area appears darker, glossier or patchy. Keep an untreated reference where practical. Do not use polishing to correct a trial result on a matte surface without the finish maker’s approval.
Remove loose dirt using the permitted method, use clean suitable wash media and avoid allowing product to dry. Pay attention to film edges and seams according to the film’s care guidance. A wash-and-protect product should not require forceful rubbing to obtain a uniform finish.
If residue remains, ask for a compatible corrective process rather than adding another product to hide it.
Where a ceramic shampoo’s matte compatibility is unclear, use a maintenance product explicitly approved for the surface until the question is resolved. Record the products used so an installer can interpret later changes. For matte finishes, a successful wash is one that cleans while preserving the intended appearance; added gloss is not automatically an improvement.
