Adding Nano Coating to Factory Easy-Clean Shower Glass

Factory easy-clean glass already has a surface system. Before adding another coating, establish whether the combination is permitted and whether it addresses the maintenance issue you are seeing.

Find the original specification

Identify the glazing product and treated face from the supplier’s documents. Review its cleaning instructions and any restrictions on additional treatments. Water behaviour alone cannot identify which factory system is present.

Investigate the current problem

Clean a small area using the existing glass manufacturer’s approved routine and inspect it dry. Record whether residue remains or the surface appearance has changed. Do not strip or polish a factory treatment merely because another coating is being considered.

Proceed only with confirmed compatibility

Ask the glazing manufacturer and coating supplier about the exact combination and preparation. If additional treatment is supported, evaluate a representative test and document the result. If it is not, continue the established care system and seek advice about the persistent marks. Coating over uncertainty can make later diagnosis and maintenance more difficult.
