Shower Gels, Oils and Conditioners on Coated Glass

Personal-care products can change the residue left on shower glass. An oily or conditioning formula may create a different cleaning task from the one the household previously experienced.

Notice changes in the routine

If film appears more quickly, note any new shower gel, oil, conditioner or cleaning product. Look at the pattern of the residue and where products are handled. Avoid treating a new film as proof of coating failure without first considering the change in exposure.

Clean with the approved method

Use the recommended cleaner and suitable cloths, changing to a clean section as residue accumulates. Rinse or remove the cleaner as directed and inspect the dry glass. Do not spread an oily film across the enclosure with a saturated towel or add a gloss product to hide it.

Adjust care rather than guessing

Review cleaning frequency based on actual use. If the film persists despite the confirmed routine, share the product list and photographs with the installer. This gives the technical team a clearer basis for recommending further cleaning or inspection while preserving the installed surface system.
